An Industry Project gives you work-level experience that makes you stand out to employers. It replicates how a real Machine Learning Engineer works in companies, teaching you industry-level tech skills & domain knowledge.

STEP 1: Meet the client

JRVS, a leading consulting and recruiting company, is creating a GenAI-powered talent system to enhance job-resume matching efficiency and success. The solution includes a data collection pipeline and a GenAI-based matching algorithm.

Leyuan, who is the client’s representative for the project, will be your primary point of contact. He is a senior professional in the tech industry.

  • Discussing the business problem, including motivation, metrics (business & ML), and data collection strategies

    Setting up a robust development environment

  • Running Apify and saving data in a Jupyter Notebook

  • PDF Parsing

    Resume parsing pipeline on AWS Lambda

  • OpenAI API Intro

    Vectorization and Chroma VectorDB

  • Streamlit Frontend

    Send email notification using Sendgrid

  • Use Chalice to deploy and schedule the pipelines on AWS

  • An Income Share Agreement (ISA) is a financial arrangement where you agree to pay a percentage of your first-year salary to cover the cost of Brave Career’s programs.

    To be eligible for an ISA, you must be able to work full-time in either the US or Canada. Additionally, the ISA program is designed for those who are currently unemployed, ensuring that financial burdens do not hinder you from pursuing your dream career.

    When applying for the ISA program, you will need to provide personal information, which Brave Career will use solely to conduct a background check. Rest assured, your data will be protected in accordance with the law.

  • You will only pay after finding a job, by sharing a portion of your first-year salary.

    Once you start receiving pay checks from your employer, the repayment process will begin. To minimize the financial burden, payments will be divided into 12 monthly installments with no interest.

    Students are responsible for submitting their salary proof to Brave Career as stipulated in the contract. Failure to do so will result in a maximum payment being enforced.
